• Epoxy Garage Floors: Epoxy garage floor is the choice of homeowners who want an attractive, long lasting and durable garage floor protection. The reason why epoxy garage floor is applied is to protect the concrete from wearing off, from oil, grease, vehicles, foot traffic, animal urine etc. Epoxy garage floor have an advantage over modular flooring systems because epoxy becomes part of the concrete. Modular floors sit above the concrete and are subject to the moisture, dirt, grease and oil that may seep through it.

• Epoxy Concrete Floor Coating: Concrete Floor Solutions provides turn-key epoxy resin floor installation services, including removal of your existing floor system, surface preparation, and installation of the proper coating system for your unique application. An epoxy coating system is designed to provide aesthetic enhancement and abrasion and chemical resistance to a floor surface. Because a coating is dense, seamless and has low porosity, it is easier to clean and maintain than an uncoated surface. Coatings are available in variety of colors, allowing you to match your floor’s new look to the rest of the environment. CFS offers thin-film and high-build epoxy coating systems for high end resistances, assembly and light manufacturing areas, aircraft hangars, food process areas, laboratories, clean rooms, pedestrian walkways, warehouses and similar industrial and commercial areas.

• Urethane Concrete Floor Coating: Concrete Floor Solutions installs urethane floor coating systems to provide a very durable, easily colored, high gloss light reflective surface in demanding commercial and industrial settings.

 Like epoxy coatings, urethanes are available in a variety of options. One component versions are popular, ranging from 40 % to 100 % solids. One component products are called “moisture cured urethanes” (MCU) and are typically solvent borne. Water based urethanes are recognized for outstanding adhesion properties, while offering less durability than their solvent borne counterparts. An installation consisting of epoxy primer and two coats of moisture cure urethane remains one of the industry’s best values.
 In areas such as aircraft hangars, production areas, chemical processing plants, battery charging areas, and warehouses, “chemical resistance urethanes” (CRU) offer excellent chemical resistance to hydrochloric (muratic) acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric (battery) acid, brake fluid, skydrol, jet fuels, and other industrial chemicals. CRU’s are cycloaliphatic in nature, reducing their tendency to yellow from ultraviolet light.

• Polyurea Concrete Floor Coatings: We are proud to be part of the new polyurea coating technology. There are multiple uses for these innovative coating systems. From tank linings to industrial floor coating, let us show you some of the benefits and features of these new polyurea coating. Materials typically have dry to touch time of 15-45 seconds and back in service in 3 hours. There are several versions available including epoxy modified products that are designed to meet the needs of the consumer. • Water Proofing & Vapor Control: We offer a variety of waterproofing, dampproofing, coating and air/vapor barrier systems designed to protect your building’s structural components and interior areas from water & moisture infiltration. Typically moisture intrusion problems are seen visually as symptomatic spot whitening or darkening, lifting, cracking, spalling, bubbling, blistering, oozing, or leaking.

 Concrete slabs with moisture vapor emission in excess of 20 pounds and ph levels of 14 can be treated to acceptable levels or vapor emission and alkalinity.

What is Epoxy?

Epoxy Flooring systems are one of CFS specialties. We select, specify and install a wide variety of epoxy flooring systems including floor sealers, pigmented floor coatings and high performance industrial grade flooring. Epoxy Coating and Surfacings

Choose from thin film concrete coatings up to 25 mils for floor re-coating and light service conditions, intermediate floor coating systems from 25-45 mils for moderate service and heavy duty industrial flooring from 45 mils to over 250 mils for moderate to severe service conditions. Urethane Coatings?

In addition to epoxy coatings and flooring, we utilize a full line of urethane coatings as finish coats for certain floors coating and surfacing applications. As an industrial floor contractor we offer polyurethane coatings as an option to epoxy coatings for cement, concrete flooring projects. We also use urethane as a floor sealer on certain decorative, chemical resistant and protective coating applications. Urethane and Polyurethane are two names for the same coating process.
 
 
 
Polyurethane Flooring

Generally, urethane coatings and floor sealers provide better scratch resistance, gloss and color stability than epoxies. But thickness, adhesion and repair and recoatability properties are inferior to epoxy coatings. Non-slip safety floorings systems are best made with epoxy as opposed to polyurethane coatings. Urethanes are often utilized in conductive flooring, ESD and deck coating work. Polyurethanes are rarely used in secondary containment systems.
