Concrete Floor - Alternatives
This section describes different options existing for surfaces that cannot have
a floor thicker than 1 inch due to leveling problems, substrate in bad
conditions, or due to a low budget.
Leveling problems: When encountering problems with the level of the
floors auto-leveling mixes can be used. These cement based mixes work well on
floors that range from 1/4 to 1 inch. Also these cement mixes are white or grey
which permit for color or dye to be integrated. Drying time is quick therefore;
color and sealants can be applied in 24 hours.
Substrate in Bad Condition: This is a problem in remodeling work. After removing
old or existing floors such as, ceramic, epoxy or other systems stick to the
surface, irregularities like cracks, holes or stains penetrated in the substrate
may be found. These can be stopped by installing 1/16 inches of a micro cement,
this product is flexible and is highly resistant to abrasion. The rapid
application allows for color and sealants to be added in 24 hours.
Low Budget: Many things can be done on new or old floors in good
conditions, with a small budget. Color, sealant, and decorative designs can be
ascertained in a few hours. Engraved Concrete gives any floor a unique
characteristic; logos and any type of figures imaginable can be worked on the
floor.
